Christmas is over and now the New Year is upon us...

Whew...Christmas is over and that means a bulk of my orders are completed.  Today I actually finished one of my last orders.

My new "invention" of Christmas Booty Stockings.

I'm loving how these turned out.  Hope the recipients enjoy them.  This is a short post but hopefully will be having a little bit more free time to short blogging more often.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

CHRISTMAS IS HERE ALMOST!

Last night my church had our annual Candle Light Service and it was beautiful.  The entire sanctuary is dark except for a few lights on the stage.  Songs being sung, the Christmas Story being read, Advent Candles being lit and then at the end one by one we share the lighting of each others candles...it is just beautiful.

Our Wonderful Savior's Birth - this is the reason for this season let's remember it and say Merry Christmas!

Throwing a little bit of my projects in the post as well...here are some things I've been working on here lately...

Georgia Bulldog Hobo Purse
Close Up of Interior Fabric (Picture doesn't do it justice)

SEC Large Key Fobs

SEC Large Key Fobs (Backs)

SEC mini key fobs
SEC mini key fobs back

Youth Throw Blanket (Quilted)

You can't tell but this blanket is AWESOME!  If I do say so myself. :) This is made of regular fabric that I quilted with batting and sewed to white minky fabric.  It turned out to be about 40" x 60" and is the perfect size for toddlers.

Tye liked it so much that he said he wanted me to make him a bigger version with Tennessee on it (UGH!).  I loved it so much that I wanted to keep it myself!  hee he

Loving all these projects but will be glad to have a little bit of rest when Christmas gets here...next project is to make a Christmas Stocking for the Peyton Blanket (above).  The customer liked it so much she wants me to make a matching stocking for years to come for her grand baby.  I'm excited!

Anyways, enough with this post...hope you all have a wonderful and Merry Christmas!

God Bless and HAPPY NEW YEAR as well!

Finally, Finals, Finished

Ah, end of the year- it's always a Hot Mess for everyone.  Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, and all the normal every day stuff we do in our lives in between...work, kids, school, family, etc...  How do we manage not to go insane?  Well I'm on my way to full insanity...I've been working on orders, school finals and work.

Last night was my Calculus final. Okay so I know a majority of success in a class is studying but come on people let's realize a good part of it is understanding the material in the first place.  A big chunk of it (to me) is having someone that can teach it so that one can understand. But if you have a super-genius person teaching you it's not very helpful. They think it's easy stuff and I think they are mad! Well I hopefully managed to understand most of what I needed but I'll find out soon enough.  Tonight is my final for Anthropology and then I'm done until January...were the fun will start all over again.

So in between studying and work I snuck in some sewing orders.  I have some awesome people I work with at my job and one of them came to me not too long ago asking me to work on an idea she had for Christmas stockings.  Her dilemma she had was that her niece was a Tennessee fan (yuck...hee he) and the niece's husband a Georgia fan (GO DAWGS!...whoops did I say that out loud? :) ) and they were going to be popping out a little one soon, so naturally as with a house-divided couple they argue about which team the child will go with- so we throw them both and hope the kid will pick the best team of the two...TN or GA (<--- this one of course, ;) oops did it again).  In order to display this option she decided on a house-divided stocking but something unique and different.  So me and my cohort that works with me started talking and Angie (said cohort) said "what about baby booties?"  She explained what her idea was and it was brilliant so the plan began.

With some post-it notes and thread as my tools...I constructed some miniature baby booties as my design. (okay so here is where I would normally insert a picture but sadly I threw them away) Anyways, I took me a bit to figure out exactly how to make them bigger and what they would look like as a finished product.  But they are complete and as my first pair of Baby Booty Stockings I'm quite proud of myself.  But all the credit should go to Tonya and Angie at my work for being such geniuses to think of such a neat and wonderful idea and project for me to try out.

I've already have received 2 more orders for them as Christmas presents, although they are doing just one booty instead of pairs but the pairs are more for the house divided ones I think.  Who knows it could be the next new thing!

House-Divided Booties with the original stockings she had purchased.

The Year on Bottom of Booty.

Here are some sweatshirts I appliqued for a lady at my work.  Her daughter planned on giving them as gifts to her sorority sisters.  I think they turned out really cute.

There you go a little update on my insanity bound life.  Although, I joke about my life I really am thankful for having all the little things that happen...good or bad it is all part of the greater plan.  Enjoy the craziness!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!  Remember the reason why we celebrate this season...our dear Savior Jesus Christ!

Tell someone Merry Christmas this year!  See you next time...
