For those following me you may like to know that I've got some news (if you didn't already know)! I've got my very own and first ever "cupcake in the oven" aka baby on the way!
We found out about 2 weeks ago but just decided to share with everyone last week. I'm approximately 7 weeks along (still early) but we know the good Lord is watching over us and know everything will work out for the good of the Lord.
Tomorrow we will, hopefully, hear the heart beat of our little "lentil bean". Tye and I are excited to start a new adventure together and this one is the biggest and best of them all.
Tye is hoping for a little boy, I would like a little girl but we both agree no matter what we get we'll be happy and blessed either way.
LET THE FUN BEGIN!!!
God Bless and have a wonderful day!

Valentine's Day
Okay, I've been slacking here lately but my sister who is a creative genius always comes up with tons of different projects. Here is one she did just the other day for my nephew's Valentine's Box. She saw a picture of this online but just had to figure it out on her own...
She did an AWESOME job!!!!
My nephew, who is 6, was not as excited as she was but I'm right there with her because this is a fantastic box for a boy's valentine's school party!
GREAT JOB MARIE!

Good News, Great Service, Great Day
Sunday, January 29, 2012, was an awesome day. I found out some great news, we had a wonderful service at church and I spent a relaxing day at home. The Lord is good!
I am so happy and blessed for what the Lord has done and all He has planned for me in the future. Sometimes when life is dull and mundane you get a "pop of color" that makes a moment in your life memorable and will lead you to a new path in the road.
Expect the unexpected and enjoy the little "u-turns" and "sharp turns" in the road that life and the Lord leads you. Always do His will and long for His direction in your life, with a little faith things will work out better than you had anticipated!
Have a wonderful day!

Rainy Day
Rainy days...you either love them or hate them. Me I love them, rain doesn't bother me. I know it's a hindrance sometimes but the Lord provides what we need when we need it so why complain!
It's been a while since my last post and yes, I know I said I was going to do better about posting stuff more often but hey a girl can hope.
I did a little project this week...the recipient hasn't received them yet but hopefully tomorrow will be the day. It's a surprise so those that might see this post please keep it a secret until I finally give them out. I like the simpleness of them and although they are made out of 2X4 wood (which is rough wood and doesn't sand up too pretty) it turned out better than expected. Especially, for my first set!
Please forgive my photography skills...obviously they stink but I'm working on that and hopefully will get better. I have a friend (Crystal) who takes awesome pictures...might have to have her post some on here one day if she will! :) She took some Christmas photos of her family and they were AWESOME! (sorry went off on a side track)
Okay, so I have more projects in the works...hopefully...and orders are slowly coming in from the Etsy shop which is wonderful! And my regulars are keeping me busy as well. So I'm a busy bee here lately...the Lord is good to me and I'm truly blessed.

New Year, new things, bright beginnings
Ah the New Year what a wonderful time to be refreshed. It's a great time to make changes, make improvements and for new beginnings.
My goal this year is to keep up with a "Daily Bread" website that gives a little snip-it of bible inspiration and also has a "read the bible in a year" daily verses. So far so good (well that reminds me to read it for today). I plan on making today and the days to come a better year for the Lord and I. I want to grow closer to Him and His word.
Also, my plan is to save, save, save...we all want financial security but sometimes we let that fall by the waste-side. Not me...this year I'm going to cut back on frivolous stuff and start putting more in our savings. (note: a little incentive is a possible Holy Land Trip next year!) So by saving a little bit here and there would put me in a good position to take a trip over-seas.
Another plan I have is start making a business out of my sewing projects. A little here and there has been my past experience but I would love to get my "shop" up and running full speed. Not necessarily an actual store (although that would be my ultimate goal) but at least more than I have going now.
That leads me to the new little "widget" to the left...my Etsy Shop...check it out...even if you don't buy anything Etsy is a great and fun website to find unique items. I love it!
Hoping to put more items on there sometime or another.
In addition, I plan on doing more on this blog...outfits (maybe) and more tidbits. Hopefully, with school and work it want get over looked.
School...that's another thing. I'm doing a class online and one actual class...so hopefully, I'll continue with managing that better than last semester.
Here's hoping you have a wonderful 2012...and make some changes, save some money, take a trip, improve something that you do, show your love more to those that need it and even those that don't, change a bad attitude, do those little things that you always said you were going to do but don't...have fun and live your life!
Have a blessed day! Much love, donna

Christmas is over and now the New Year is upon us...
Whew...Christmas is over and that means a bulk of my orders are completed. Today I actually finished one of my last orders.
My new "invention" of Christmas Booty Stockings.
My new "invention" of Christmas Booty Stockings.
I'm loving how these turned out. Hope the recipients enjoy them. This is a short post but hopefully will be having a little bit more free time to short blogging more often.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
